Configure offers
Unchurn ships five retention offers. When the cancel flow opens, the widget checks each offer against the customer’s subscription and shows only the ones that fit. For what each offer does, see The five offers. The pages below cover how to configure them.
Offers appear in a waterfall: a customer who declines the first offer sees a different offer next, capped at two offer screens before the cancel-confirm step. The cap keeps the flow within click-to-cancel rules. See Unusual subscriptions for why some subscriptions see only a subset of offers.
Pages
| Page | What you configure |
|---|---|
| Discount | Coupon shape, duration, per-customer cooldown |
| Pause | Available pause durations, cooldown after resume |
| Plan switch | Approved downgrade transitions per current price |
| Trial extension | Days added, one-per-customer enforcement |
| Cancel waterfall | Loss-aversion bullets, personalization, waterfall toggle |
Common configurations
Most merchants enable discount + pause for monthly subscribers and discount + trial extension for customers still in a trial. Pause is monthly-only and trial extension is trialing-only, so the offer mix differs by subscription state. Plan switch ships disabled by default — turn it on once you’ve decided which downgrades you’re comfortable offering.
For per-offer eligibility rules and the full list of blocked subscription shapes, see Supported subscriptions.
