Configure offers
The retention engine evaluates five offers against each subscription and routes the customer to the offer mapped to their cancellation reason. You configure the levers and the reason mapping; the engine handles eligibility, routing, the Stripe write, and verification. For the strategy behind each offer, see The five offers. Most teams enable discount + pause for monthly subscribers and discount + trial extension for customers still in a trial. Plan switch is off by default — turn it on once you’ve decided which downgrades you’re comfortable offering.
